The Man of Integrity

"All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers," said Jesus. With the advent of Christ Jesus, preaching deliverance, healing all manner of sickness and of sin, the man of integrity was revealed, taking nothing from the omnipotence of God or from the perfection of His likeness.

Through ignorance, through human will, through fear, men had robbed themselves of those gifts which were theirs by divine inheritance and, directly or indirectly, charged the account to God. But he who came bearing true witness told men of the all-loving Father and of their own sonship. He came preaching and proving dominion over evil. In like manner did Mary Baker Eddy, who has written (Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, p. 259), "The Christlike understanding of scientific being and divine healing includes a perfect Principle and idea,—perfect God and perfect man,—as the basis of thought and demonstration."

This was the purpose of Jesus' mission; this in Christian Science is the fulfillment of his promise that the Comforter should complete that which had been begun, and reveal the scientific evidence of the integrity of man, from whom nothing can be taken, to whom all has been granted.
