Before telling of some of the healings I have had through the study of Christian Science, I wish to express my gratitude to God for His loving care, for Christ Jesus, the Way-shower, and for Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science; for the ever-loving counsel of The Christian Science Board of Directors; for my membership in The Mother Church and in a branch church, and for calss instruction; for The Christian Science Publishing Society, the Committee on Publication, and our faithful, patient practitioners; for the privilege I have had in attending the Christian Science Sunday School form the age of three (my mother and my two grandmothers were students of Christian Science before I was born); and last, but far from being the least, for our weonderful lectures.

Some ten or twelve years ago I suffered from severe sick headaches, and was absent from my work sometimes as much as a day a week. One Sunday I awakened with one of these headaches. I had a duty to perform at the Sunday school and felt I should be there. I arose and with great difficulty dressed and started on my walk of fourteen blocks. Several times I had to sit down on the curb and realize the truth. Finally the words come to me from Science and Health by our beloved Leader, Mrs. Eddy (p. 385), "Whatever it is your duty to do, you can do without harm to yourself." I went on my way to Sunday school and have not experienced these headaches again. With this healing also came the disappearance of pains in the back of my neck and down the right shoulder and arm.

When I was working in a department store, it was one of my duties to collect all moneys from serveral registers at a given hour. A day or so before Christmas I looked at the clock and noticed it was an hour before time for collections. Something led me to get up and start on the rounds. Several times I stopped to realize that man is always in his right place at the right time. I felt that I was obeying Mrs. Eddy's command (Miscellaneous writings, p. 117), "Be sure that God directs your way; then, hasten to follow under everycircumstance." So I went ahead, collected all moneys, except the allotted change to be left in the registers, and had just returned to my desk when someone came into the office and said the store was being held up. The money from all the registers was taken. I was very grateful for my part in this experience, for my employer was saved hundreds of dollars. Christian Science teaches us not only to listen to but to obey the "still small voice." —(Mrs.) Martha A. Seyffert Falbaum, Los Angeles, California.
