Sincere gratitude for the innumerable ways in which Christian Science has helped me prompts me to write this testimony. Christian Science has met my every need. It has explained to me clearly the true relationship which exists between God and man, and has cleared up the seemingly confused and contradictory statements of the Bible. I did not take up the study of Christian Science for any specific healing, but because no other religion answered my questions pertaining to the Bible.

I was healed of chronic constipation, which I had had from childhood, when I started to read Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy. I had been told by many doctors that this trouble was incurable because of an inherited liver condition, and I had accepted their verdict. I was also healed of the fear that heat could harm me. Through the help of loving practitioners, I have had instantaneous healings of colds, headaches, influenza, and many other difficulties. With these healings there has always come a better understanding of God's great love and protection for His children.

A healing for which I have been especially greateful is that of tonsillitis. I had been troubled with this condition since I was a small child, but after I began to study Christian Science, I was free from it until about five years ago, when I again became ill with it. Work was taken up by a practitioner. The healing did not take place as readily as I thought it should, but when worry and anxiety were uncovered, the healing came within a few minutes. This healing has been permanent and complete, for I have not had any throat trouble since.

My husband was healed of a kidney condition for which doctors had said there was no help, and he was told that if the attacks continued, an operation would be necessary. He was healed of asthma, after he had been treated for a period of six years or more by specialists. Although he received some relief from these sources, the healings were not complete and permanent until he was healed through Christian Science. The healing of asthma came when he asked for help from a practitioner for influenza. Both these healings came very quickly, and at a time when we were young students in Christian Science. Unemployment was beautifully overcome with just one treatment by a practitioner.

I am grateful for these healings and many others; for the better understanding I have gained of the Bible; and for the realization that, as Mrs. Eddy tells us (Science and Health, p. 264), "Spirit and its formations are the only realities of being." I am also grateful to Mrs. Eddy for her unceasing work and spiritual understanding, which enabled her to give to the world the beautiful and teachable interpretation of the Bible which can be applied to all human problems. My eternal gratitude goes out to the practitioners who are always willing to help us along the way of Truth and Love. For membership in The Mother Church and in a branch church I am grateful.
