With gratitude to the inspired Leader of Christian Science, Mary Baker Eddy, I desire to present this testimony.

On the day that I received "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, I asked God, before opening the book, to grant me spiritual understanding. When I had read a few lines I was assured that my prayer would be answered. What the book contained so attracted my attention that I spent every possible moment with it until I had read it throughout consecutively.

I experienced immediate relief, but the healing which altered my whole outlook on life did not manifest itself until I had been daily studying Science and Health for about three years. Then, quite suddenly one morning, a great light dawned in my consciousness, and its glow remained with me for hours. The liberating effect of that experience remains to help me maintain a steady course in Christian Science and also to understand Mrs. Eddy's statement (ibid., p. 225), "Love is the liberator."

Early in my study of Science the problem of insomnia presented itself and was permanently healed when I dwelt in thought on the peace, beauty, and truth contained in Mrs. Eddy's hymns.

A few weeks after I read Science and Health, a friend told me about the Lesson-Sermons given in the Christian Science Quarterly. Words can never express my gratitude for being guided to study this source of light so soon after I found Christian Science. I am equally grateful for having been told at the same time about the Journal and Sentinel. Every minute given to the reading of the Monitor is also excellently spent.
