It is with a deep sense of heartfelt gratitude to God, to Christ Jesus, the Way-shower, and to our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, that I submit this testimony of my healing in Christian Science. I have been healed physically, mentally, and spiritually, and am a living witness to the healing, saving, and regenerating power of Christian Science. Through Mrs. Eddy's wonderful healing message which she has given to the world, namely, Christian Science, I am free to tell of my healing, which occurred through the loving ministrations of its teachings. Through these teachings I have been supported, protected, helped, and finally delivered from great trial and suffering.
Some years ago, through worry, anxiety, and mental stress, I was overcome by a sense of melancholia, and was confined to a sanitarium for the insane. While I was there, I received wonderful spiritual help from loving Christian Science friends, and a Christian Science practitioner gave me absent treatment.
I am grateful to say that some time after Christian Science treatment was begun in my behalf, I was freed from an experience of great suffering, and was brought out into the glorious sunlight of Truth and Love. Since gaining my freedom I have truly learned that "the Lord is my light and my salvation," and that He is our strength and deliverer.
I have witnessed, through the application of Christian Science, healings of various types of diseased and discordant conditions, in and outside of our home, and I consider these healings to be cause for deep gratitude. In every case it has been proved to me without a doubt that "Truth is always the victor," as Mrs. Eddy says on page 380 of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures."
Words cannot express my gratitude for the happiness Christian Science has brought into my life. It has made a new man of me. It has completely transformed my thought, and given me a better and brighter outlook on life. I am deeply grateful for the spiritual understanding which I have gained through the study of Christian Science, and which means more to me than the physical healing, for through the understanding of God's law of infinite perfection I can help myself and others when the need for spiritual help presents itself.
I am grateful for the privilege of membership in The Mother Church and in a branch church; also for class instruction. My prayer is that I may live so as to be worthy of the name "Christian Scientist."
