This testimony is given with a deep sense of gratitude to Mary Baker Eddy for giving to the world the great truth revealed through Christian Science, which, when it is studied and faithfully applied, liberates from the bondage of the beliefs of the flesh.

When quite a child I lost my mother, and for many years seemed to lack a mother's love. In a vague way I knew that God is Love, but did not understand how that fact could meet my need. Existence seemed hard and cold. I suffered from depression, blood pressure, severe attacks of neuritis, head troubles which, from the medical point of view, were the result of premature birth conditions, and other complications.

Later in life I married. For several years both my husband and I were semi-invalids, having constant medical aid without obtaining the slightest sign of improvement, either in health or in home conditions. I was told of the tremendous progress that was going on in medical science, yet I was bound by sickness and surrounded by people in a similar condition. I became confused, and prayed earnestly to be shown the way out of this state of things.

In a short time I met a friend who knew of the struggle I was having, and during a conversation she asked me to go with her to a Christian Science testimony meeting. This I was pleased to do, for I was eager to do anything that would help me. The service was all very strange to me, for I had not heard of Christian Science before; yet at this first service some sort of transformation took place, for I was healed of many of the conditions from which I had suffered for years. It was an experience I shall never forget, though I could not have explained it to anyone at the time.

This occurred about twelve years ago. From that time my whole life changed, and every physical condition improved. My husband was so grateful that he also took up the study of Christian Science with me. We both realized it was the greatest blessing that had ever come into our lives. Since that time numerous faults of character have been healed and, to a great extent, fear has been removed. I have learned that God is Love, and this has taught me how to reflect Love towards my fellow man. Christian Science has given me that peace "which passeth all understanding" and taught me that I live in God; that His law is a law which operates here and now for the good of all mankind.

It has been my joy and privilege to become a member of The Mother Church and an active worker in a branch church, and to have had class instruction. I am deeply grateful. My sincere desire is to use the knowledge of Christian Science which I have gained in serving mankind, that I may share this great truth with other weary seekers, as it was so lovingly shared with me.—(Mrs.) Minnie H. I have experienced many healings myself, and am sincerely grateful for all the help received through the study and application of Christian Science. Words cannot express the gratitude we owe to our dear Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, for the guidance given to us by her works.
