I have had several healings in Christian Science. My first healing was of gallstones. I had been awaiting admittance into one of our hospitals to undergo an operation. One day a woman called at my place of business, and during our conversation she told me about Christian Science and recommended that I see a practitioner, whose telephone number she gave me. I did not hesitate, although I had never heard of Christian Science before, and I shall never forget the experience. On my first visit to the practitioner I was healed.

Then I was faced by a financial problem, and for years this seemed to require much patience. During a very difficult time, a friend, who was in great distress, called to see me. As I listened to him, I wondered how I could help him even though my own heart was aching, and was prompted to declare the truth. When he was going out he said, "Well! I will try to do as you say."

When he called to see me again, he was radiantly happy, and told me how successful he had been since the last time he saw me. He said he had never looked back, and now was taking his wife and family for a holiday, but felt he could not go before coming to tell me of his success.

I said I sincerely hoped he would have a nice time. Then I turned my thoughts to God, and was expressing gratitude that I had had the courage to speak words of comfort, when I seemed to hear a voice, clear and distinct, saying, "This is 'more to be desired ... than ... fine gold.' " I saw clearly the meaning of true substance. I am exceedingly grateful for this healing, because I have experienced an inflow of calm peace which I have never known before.

I am realizing how important it is to spend the love of God freely. I have seen Christian Science heal a tumor and a case of dropsy, after a physician had said the patient could live only a few hours.

For the revelation of God's plan which is made known to us through the writings of Mary Baker Eddy, and for the inexhaustible good which belongs to man, I am indeed grateful.—(Mrs.) Sarah Ann Turvey, Sheffield, Yorkshire, England.
