Christian Science has been my only physician for more than twenty years, during which time I have experienced many instantaneous healings, one of which stands out very clearly, although it occurred some years ago.

During the whole of one day I had been feeling very ill, and in the early evening, finding I could no longer keep up, I sought the quiet of my own room, where I felt that some clearer thinking could be done. This, however, was difficult, owing to a high fever. I made a great effort, and the words which came to me were from Jude: "Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy, to the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever."

The words conveyed little meaning at first, and I wondered why they were so persistently repeated. Suddenly a wonderful light shone on them, and the glorious statement of Truth stood out clearly. I repeated aloud, "Truth does 'present you faultless ... with exceeding joy.' " Gratitude and joy filled my consciousness, and in a few moments, with a great sense of peace and well-being, I fell into a sound sleep from which I did not awake before morning. Then with the same feeling of rejoicing I was able to enter into the usual activities of the day, entirely free.

I am indeed grateful to God for having led me to the study of Christian Science, and to our Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, who through her devotion and love has given it to the world. She has told us on page 98 of Science and Health, "It is imperious throughout all ages as Christ's revelation of Truth, of Life, and of Love, which remains inviolate for every man to understand and to practise."
