Shortly after my coming into Christian Science I had a number of boils, which were most painful. Through Christian Science treatment I received great relief and was enabled to continue with my daily work. A few years later this ailment presented itself again. This time the appearance was alarming, but through Christian Science treatment I suffered no pain whatever and have experienced no recurrence of this trouble.

The revelation by our beloved Leader, Mrs. Eddy, of the power of Truth to save from pain has been indeed marvelous to me.

I am very grateful for another healing I received. On pages 380 and 381 of Science and Health Mrs. Eddy makes this statement: "Every law of matter or the body, supposed to govern man, is rendered null and void by the law of Life, God." I was on the beach one day from six o'clock until four; and my limbs became badly sunburned. When I left the beach and started home I began to have chills. I arrived home about nine o'clock and called a practitioner for help. Before going to sleep I read "the scientific statement of being" on page 468 of Science and Health and the definition of "sun" (p. 595), which reads, "The symbol of Soul governing man,—of Truth, Life, and Love." I slept fairly well, awaking only a few times. When I awoke in the morning my limbs felt relieved, and I could rub them without pain. I arose, but experienced pain when I walked, so I called the practitioner for more help.

A cousin had been invited to go swimming with me that morning, in a pool in the building where I live. I arose quickly from my bed and put on my bathing suit, and we had a wonderful swim. After the swim I went to my place of business and worked, standing and walking, all day.

I am very grateful for this marvelous healing. I had been sunburned twice before, once being unable to work for three days. But this time, although the burn was more severe, I received my healing much more quickly.
