Previous to coming into Christian Science I was in a wilderness of doubt and fear, wondering if there was a God, and if so, praying that He would lead me in the right path, as I was very much discouraged with life and always had something the matter with me.

When I was led to Christian Science I asked a practitioner to explain Science to me. When this was done, I realized that I had found God and His truth, which I could understand. I had been extremely nervous when Christian Science found me. This claim had seemed to follow me from childhood and had interfered with many of my undertakings. I asked for Science treatment, which was lovingly given me. I was asked to read Proverbs 3:5, 6, and these verses were explained to me so that I learned not to lean upon my own understanding, but to lean upon God under all conditions.

On returning home that evening I realized clearly for the first time that God is Love, and I could see His universe as spiritual and His children as spiritual ideas, and as each individual came into my presence the next day I saw him in this light; then suddenly the vision dawned upon me of the true creation. I was lifted up into a new world, and a wonderful sense of joy and happiness came into my thought. This seemed like a miracle to me, as previous to this experience I had never known what true joy was. This gave me a desire to study and find the origin of this healing. I had glimpsed heaven in a degree, and that experience has always stood by me, no matter what the problem seemed to be that faced me.

I have known that if this spiritual uplifting consciously could come to me once, it could be ever present; since then I have been comforted many times with the promise, "Lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world."

I rejoice to say that I have been healed of the nervous condition, which had been a seemingly insurmountable obstacle. I have also been healed of an abscess, eczema, severe colds, stomach trouble, sprained ankles, neuritis, an injured knee, constipation, dislocated vertebrae, and chronic catarrh; also I have experienced a wonderful example of God's protective and healing power at the time of an automobile accident.

For all the blessings which I have had since coming into Christian Science I am inexpressibly grateful; for membership in The Mother Church and a branch church; for the privilege of teaching in the Sunday school; for all the Christian Science literature; also for the priceless privilege of class instruction; for the help of practitioners and our Christian Science Board of Directors, who so lovingly stand, carrying out the instructions of our beloved Leader, who through her unselfed love brought this beautiful truth to all mankind.
