Words fail me when I endeavor to express my thankfulness...

Words fail me when I endeavor to express my thankfulness to God and to Christian Science for the many blessings that have been bestowed on me.

I suffered for years from various complaints which many doctors and medical specialists were unable to heal. Several doctors told me I was suffering from a nervous disorder, others diagnosed it as kideny complaint, and again as pernicious anaemia. However, I became so seriously ill that I had to stop work, and was advised to have a long rest, and also to try a change of climate. I had been idle for eight weeks, dosing with all kinds of medicines; but instead of there being any improvement I steadily grew worse.

A friend spoke to me of Christian Science, telling me he had attended a Wednesday evening meeting in Sydeny and had heard members of the congregation testify to many wonderful healings. My reply was that I could not possibly see how Christian Science could do me any good or heal me. I had been brought up by Christian parents to respect my church, Sunday school, and Bible class; but I had never been taught the way to realize God's blessing or to be saved from sin, disease, or death. The suffering continued, and as a last hope I at length resolved to give Christian Science a trial. I was given the address of a practitioner, whose loving words I shall never forget. She told me of God's love to man, and of His infinite goodness, and assured me that there was no reason why I should not be healed. The marvelous result was that with one treatment I was instantaneously healed of all my complaints. Not only was I healed of sickness, but the desire for smoking and drinking left me absolutely at that first interview with the practitioner. My life was transformed into a heaven of happiness and spiritual bliss before unknown to me.
