It is with a deep sense of gratitude that I testify to the healing power of Christian Science. For about ten years this Science has been our only physician.

One of my first blessings was a healing overnight of the tobacco habit of many years' standing; the desire for tea and coffee left me at the same time. Another healing for which I am grateful was the overcoming of a sense of lack. I had been trying for some time to find employment, without much success. One morning, after reading the Lesson-Sermon from the Christian Science Quarterly with a member of my family, we decided to read it over the second time. After we had finished, and I was going out to look for work, this loved one told me to trust God to guide me to where I could be of service. I went out knowing that God, good, is the source of all supply. Our Leader in our textbook refers to "the 'divine ear' " as (p. 7), "the all-hearing and all-knowing Mind, to whom each need of man is always known and by whom it will be supplied." I found a place in which to be of service to my fellow men and went to work the next day.

I have experienced other healings, of an ulcerated tooth, ivy poisoning, a boil; also of blood poisoning, when a knee was badly swollen for a few days but without any soreness or stiffness. Another experience that has been a great helpl to me occurred about five years ago. While I was working on a house, the staging on which I was standing broke and I was thrown to the ground. The next thing I knew I was picking myself up saying, "Underneath are the everlasting arms." About nine hours later I noticed for the first time that my body was badly bruised. This soon healed without any sense of soreness or suffering in any way.

These, with other blessings, have been a great help to me, but they are small compared to the spiritual uplifting I have experienced. I desire to make this truth daily more practical as I journey Spiritward. I am grateful to be a member of The Mother Church, also for the privilege of sharing in the activities of a branch church; for the understanding of the Bible which we receive through the study of our Leader's writings; also for the lectures and the loving help of practitioners.

Joseph H. Weldon, Dorchester, Massachusetts.

I gratefully verify my husband's testimony. As a family we have had many beautiful proofs of God's protecting power and loving care. For several years, when rightly applied, Christian Science has met my every need, not only in physical healings, but in the providing of our daily supply. I am also grateful for the loving support of the Christian Science practitioners, and for everything that Christian Science stands for. May I prove my gratitude to Mrs. Eddy for her wonderful gift to this age by living in obedience to her teachings, and by walking closer to God; for "who is so great a God as our God?"—(Mrs.) Winnifred K. Weldon.
