For over fifteen years Christian Science has been the only help in our home, and it has met our every need. Words cannot express all the gratitude I feel. My first healing was of frequent attacks of neuralgia, from which I had never for over twenty years. Material remedies had never given me any relief, except hypodermics, which seemed to ease the pain. I had heard of Christian Science, and finally decided to call a practitioner. I was healed in two treatments. I then decided to find out what this power was that had healed me, so I bought the textbook, Science and Health, and started to study it earnestly and also to attend church. In going to the Christian Science church I felt a pleasure which I had not experienced in my occasional attendance at another church.

A few months after beginning the study of Christian Science I was healed of a goiter which doctors had said they could not operate on as it was on the windpipe. We have had many healings in our home, and for each one I am very grateful. Our daughter was healed of what probably would have been called an attack of acute indigestion. There were all the symptoms of her passing on at the time, but with one treatment she was healed.

Some years ago I was healed of paralysis. I awoke one night to find that I was unable to speak. I managed to awaken my husband and daughter, and after a few minutes I became unconscious. I remained in that condition for some days. During that period of unconsciousness I remember only one thing. I heard a voice, which seemed to be at a great distance, asking me if I wanted a doctor. My family said that I shook my head. My husband and daughter had great fear for me, but the practitioner helped them to overcome the fear. The first things remembered as I became conscious again were parts of the Bible and Science and Health which I had memorized, also some of Mrs. Eddy's hymns. The first words I was able to speak were, "I am so grateful." My speech soon was entirely normal, and I was healed. I am indeed grateful that I can think of this experience not as something terrible, but as a time for rejoicing that I had learned more of the power of divine Love to heal. I pray that I may ever be about my Father's business, and that I may be worthy of all good I have received through Christian Science.

My husband was healed of intestinal influenza, and I am so happy that he wanted Science treatment at that time. He was also healed of the smoking habit in one treatment. He had been a hard smoker for over forty years, smoking a package of cigarettes and about twelve cigars daily. This healing took place over ten ago.

I thank God for Christ Jesus, the Way-shower, and for our beloved Leader, who was pure enough to understand the truth, and loved mankind enough to make it available to all. I am very grateful for all the Christian Science literature and for the loving and patient help that was given by a practitioner in these trials. I am very happy to be a member of The Mother Church and of a branch church.
