Several years ago I was healed through Christian Science of what was pronounced by a leading physician as an internal abscess. I was told that an immediate operation was necessary to save my life. At the time I was boarding in a small family hotel, where I had been ill for several days. Although I had been reading Christian Science literature and had previously been helped, I allowed myself to be influenced into going to this physician for a diagnosis. With great difficulty I went to his office, and then heard the above verdict. I had no intention of undergoing an operation, and as soon as I got back to my hotel I asked the housekeeper to telephone to a Christian Science practitioner, who said that the work would be taken up immediately.

Kind friends took me away from the hotel and placed me in the home of a Christian Science family, where I was given the loving care I needed. The healing was not rapid, but it was completed in a few weeks. I am so thankful that I have learned to place complete reliance upon the Christ, Truth, as taught in Christian Science, which never fails to heal when properly applied.

I am more grateful for that healing than I can say, and for the many other blessings that have come to me through the study and application of this wonderful Science; grateful to Jesus, who first gave the truth to the world, and to Mrs. Eddy, who has made it so clear and easy to understand; also grateful to kind, loving practitioners and Christian Science friends who have so willingly helped me along the way.
