Mental Changes

"In heavenly Love abiding,
No change my heart shall fear;
And safe is such confiding,
For nothing changes here."

These lines from the Christian Science Hymnal convey the thought that in the realm of infinite Love no changes occur. God is the same yesterday, today, and forever. And since man is the image of God, man is not subject to changing conditions, such as good health at one time and ill health at another; neither is he joyous today and sorrowful tomorrow. Man in God's likeness is always at the standpoint of perfection, and nothing can enter that perfect state of being "that defileth, ... or maketh a lie."
