With a desire to obey the injunction, "In all thy ways...

With a desire to obey the injunction, "In all thy ways acknowledge him," I send my testimony of the power of God, through Christian Science, to heal, regenerate, and sustain.

My parents took up the study of Christian Science when I was a child of five years, and shortly thereafter I was healed of a severe attack of croup, which attacks had been periodic. A few years later I was healed of scarlet fever which was so serious that I lost my hair and my finger nails. I was in bed but three days, and was entirely well in two weeks. This healing was accomplished through absent treatment from a practitioner whom I had never seen, and who resided one hundred miles from our home.

In the years following I have been healed of influenza, sleeping sickness, and a malignant growth. However, I am more grateful still for the demonstration in a degree of the ability of Christian Science to prevent disease.

The birth of our little daughter about two years ago was completely harmonious. The metaphysical work during the months prior thereto was done entirely by my husband and myself, the case being given to a consecrated practitioner at the time of birth. The physician, who had never before handled a case under the care of a Christian Science practitioner, declared that the birth was remarkable and, contrary to prevalent belief, told me on the eighth day that I might go anywhere and do anything I wished.

There is yet much to overcome, but my earnest conviction in regard to Christian Science is that "this is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left;" and that obedience to the above Scriptural command will bring fulfillment of the Father's promise, for the prophet Malachi says, "Prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it."

I am thankful for active membership in a branch church, for membership in The Mother Church, and for class instruction.—
