During the last six years I have had many absolute proofs of the power of God in Christian Science healing, and today my heart is full of gratitude for this healing truth. I had previously been a strong woman, but my health seemed to give way entirely. I suffered from acute tonsillitis, which left me in a seemingly critical state with bronchial trouble. Shortly afterwards it was found necessary for me to have an operation on the throat and nose, which caused considerable loss of blood. Then followed lung trouble, which affected the heart.

In spite of every possible medical aid I grew rapidly worse, and the doctors pronounced my case hopeless. When the end seemed near the thought persistently came, "If God cannot heal you, nobody can." I had a sister who had become somewhat interested in Christian Science. She would sometimes read "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy to me, and I realized that the only time I was free from pain was when she read to me. Just at this time I sent for a Christian Science practitioner to help me, and I shall never forget the peace and joy which came to me after that first interview. I had my first night's sleep after much suffering, and in a very short time the organs were all healed and operating naturally. The doctors were puzzled, but gave credit to Christian Science and admitted it had healed me.

Since that time I have had many proofs of God's care. My little daughter, then eleven months old, had an attack of acute bronchitis and lay apparently in the shadow of the death valley. The case seemed hopeless to human sense, but with loving help and treatment in Christian Science it was overcome through the understanding of God's unfailing love and care for His child.

At this period I had still another wonderful proof. In crossing the road one day I was knocked down and run over by a touring car, which dragged me some distance, causing a broken rib and shoulder, besides injury to the spine. It was feared that I should never walk again, but Christian Science once more saved me. As I was being tossed about, the loving words of the practitioner who had helped in my baby's healing came to me, and I declared, "God is my Life, and 'underneath are the everlasting arms' of Love." I was taken immediately to a hospital but was considered to be in too critical a condition to be touched or moved for some days. In the meantime Christian Science treatment restored me, and removed every one of these seemingly hopeless conditions. After thirteen days I was allowed to come home, and made rapid strides to recovery. Once again the doctor acknowledged that Christian Science had healed me.

I hope this testimony will help someone who is doubting, because I have proved that if we become as little children and turn to divine Love sincerely and trustingly our every need will be met.
