My husband and I have known of the benefits of Christian Science treatment since we were children, as our parents became interested when we were young. Not until we married and had a family of our own, however, did we become students of this great truth.

About two years ago our son, eight years old, became ill one morning; his body was covered with red blotches, he had a fever, and seemed to be very sick. An epidemic which began with these symptoms had been prevalent in the schools, and our first thought was that it was our dity to inform the health officer of the child's condition. However, this was not necessary, for we asked a Christian Science practitioner for help, and by two o'clock every disturbing condition had disappeared and the child arose in perfect health.

One evening our little girl of six hurt her arm. The arm hung limply at her side and she was unable to move it. We placed her on her bed and asked a practitioner for help. She slept during the night, but cried out whenever she moved in her sleep. In the morning she still said she could not move the arm. The practitioner came to the house, and after talking with the child and working for her for some time she invited her to get up from the bed. But still the child was unable to move. A few minutes later I assisted her to a sitting position, and then she took the hand of the practitioner and they went downstairs together. The condition improved throughout the morning, and at noon she joyfully showed her father that she could raise her arm. She dressed herself from that time on, and with the exception of a slight soreness the first two days she had no further trouble.

We have had instantaneous healings of fallen arches and headaches. An abnormal growth disappeared after six months' Christian Science work on the case. There have been many other healings, among which were healings of inflammatory rheumatism and mastoiditis. Some of these did not yield quickly, but the healings have been permanent.

The joys of progressing in the study of Christian Science, of working in our local church, of membership in The Mother Church, of class instruction, of seeing the beautiful devotion of workers in the Field—all these blessings fill our hearts with sincerest gratitude and love to our Father-Mother God.
