Many and varied have been the blessings I have experienced...

Many and varied have been the blessings I have experienced through the study and application of Christian Science during the past twenty-two years. In the turbulence of seeming minds many, so characteristic of this age of rush and the desire for material gain, it has been my "shield and buckler." How truly in its radiation of impartial love and right thinking it supplants personal and selfish claims with the true sense of man as the reflection of divine Mind!

Many years ago I was healed of tuberculosis, and I have always been grateful for this proof of the efficacy of Christian Science. I have since experienced a healing of dropsy. This ordeal lasted for several months and at times the difficulty seemed almost insurmountable, but with the unselfish, loving help of practitioners the healing was completed. One thing I wish to mention which was very helpful. During those months I searched for testimonies applying to my condition, and I know that the feeling of gratitude which manifested itself every time I read of a healing was beneficial.

I rejoice that through the efficacy of Christian Science I am enabled to perceive true gratitude as an impartation of divine Love. In the face of the immensity of God's perfection and goodness, human thought seems so insignificant that words utterly fail to express even a limited degree of gratitude. In the language of Christ Jesus, "I tell you that, if these should hold their peace, the stones would immediately cry out."

I am grateful to God for the advent and works of Christ Jesus, and for the abiding influence of Mary Baker Eddy through her writings and the Christian Science organization. I am grateful for membership in The Mother Church and a branch church, and for class instruction. My prayer is that I may be found worthy of the sacred trust of helping my fellow man to realize his true birthright as a child of God.
