Healing

He walked the highways, up small streets and down,
And by the quiet Galilean sea,
But whether in the country or the town
They sought him ceaselessly.

The lame, the halt, the blind cried out to him,
And tenderly he turned to their distress;
He healed them, quieting their fear, and thus
Rebuked their waywardness.

Oh, may we think to love and serve and save
With healing in our hearts, from sun to sun;
Then, gentle as the Master, speak the word
And know God's will is done.
