Man is born and built for labor, but his labor is meant to fashion him after the pattern seen in the carpenter's son. Therefore, the manhood of the man himself must be the governing consideration in all industry. Trade must be thought of not in terms of profits alone, but in terms of the full, free, and joyous life God intends for every one of His children. ...

The day's work must be made a joyous exercise. ... And man's love of work must be transformed into the love of service of humankind.
