I have been a student of Christian Science for over eighteen years, and during that time, when rightly applied, it has met my every need.

One of the first healings I experienced was of a skin disease which was prevalent in the schools. My hands were the part of my body affected. On the evening that error was making the biggest effort to be heard the pain seemed so great that we asked for help from a loving Christian Science practitioner. This was gladly given, and I must have gone to sleep directly. The next morning my hands were entirely covered with new skin. This healing was to me a positive proof of the healing power of Christian Science.

My three babies were born under Christian Science treatment, the last occasion being a complete demonstration of painless and harmonious birth. Measles, whooping cough, and many other difficulties have been met. One experience taught me a wonderful lesson in patience. My baby had a repture in a very severe form, the pain being so bad at times that he would become very sick. Sometimes he would get over these attacks quickly, but at other times it would take longer. This continued for about eight or nine months. One night, when one of these attacks came on, I called the practitioner and she said we would stay on the job if it took all night; and it did. By radical reliance on God, however, the difficulty was met. At dawn the baby went to sleep, and there has been no return of the trouble.

Another healing in our family, which was a lesson to me, occurred after my little girl, three years old, had climbed into a sedan and I closed the door on her hand. She began to cry, so I put my head into the car to see what had happened and saw that her fingers were caught in the back of the door. I opened the door quickly, and saw that two of the fingers were flat and discolored. I quickly took a handkercheif and wrapped her hand up and talked to her for a minute; then we started to go down town. She stopped crying almost immediately. When we reached our destination and the handkercheif was removed there was not a sign of any kind of injury; her hand was normal. This was to me a proof that "accidents are unknown to God," as Mrs. Eddy says on page 424 of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures."

For these blessings, and many more, I am truly grateful.
