A column recently appearing in your paper, heralding the cure of goiter by iodine, stated, "That will annoy some good ladies and gentlemen who say there is no such thing as sickness, therefore no such thing as a cure."

Christian Scientists are often accused of ignoring sickness, when the fact is that most of them have been led to Christian Science because they have known only too well its seeming reality as a human experience. It is only fair to say that there are many authentic cases of the cure of goiter by Christian Science treatment.

In the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, we read (pp. 476, 477): "Jesus beheld in Science the perfect man, who appeared to him where sinning mortal man appears to mortals. In this perfect man the Saviour saw God's own likeness, and this correct view of man healed the sick." An understanding of Jesus' cures, as explained by the teachings of Christian Science, has been a most wonderful discovery.
