[Written for the Sentinel]

Fear not, dear heart,
Though waves run high
And winds are wild;
Love's guiding hand is ever nigh
His precious child.
Fear not; be strong!

Look up, dear friend,
And see the light
Now breaking through
Where darkest clouds have hid from sight
God's love for you.
Look up, and trust!

Rejoice, O heart!
Above the woe
And moan of pain
Truth's voice is heard; and now you know
All's well again.
Rejoice, and sing!

Ah, yes, fear not; look up, rejoice!
The storm is past;
The goal is won.
You see your perfect self at last
As God's own son.
Ah, yes, 'tis done!
