"Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man...

"Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me." I am indeed glad that I heard that voice, and that I opened the door of my consciousness and let in the Christ-idea.

Eleven years ago I was told by one of the best physicians in the place where I was then residing that he could do no more for me. My husband therefore decided to take me East, so as to be nearer my relatives. A physician said, "I doubt if you will get farther than Kansas City with her." But I reached my destination, and there sought again medical aid, but with no improvement in the condition. In two years, being no better, I decided to return to California.

I feel that I was divinely guided to do this, for in a short time I informed a dear friend that I wished to try her Christian Science (as I called it then) for a healing. I know Love was guiding me all the way. I did truly "hunger and thirst after righteousness;" and my desire was met, not instantaneously, but beautifully. Each day as I traveled on this mental journey from sense to Soul I felt a sense of uplift, and I just rejoiced all the way along. I was so happy in studying that I forgot my object in seeking Christian Science until it dawned upon me that I had been healed of all my ailments.

For nine years, in all that has come to me of sorrow or financial difficulty I have turned to God, the source of all good, and each time I have been able to prove His everpresence, His help in time of need. I wish to express my gratitude for God, the Giver of all good, and for His perfect gifts; to Christ Jesus for his patient and joyous unfolding of the truth; and to our revered Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, for her writings. I know that the nearer we live to what she has given us, the nearer we are to God. For membership in a branch church and for the opportunities to serve on committees and to teach in the Sunday school, I am indeed grateful, as well as for the privilege of belonging to The Mother Church and for class instruction.

My gratitude is unspeakable for the loving work done for me by a practitioner. Love surely led me "beside the still waters" and made me "to lie down in green pastures" when I was privileged to be at The Christian Science Benevolent Association sanatorium for one month. I felt the atmosphere of love which is expressed there in daily living.—(Mrs.) Nellie A. Frost, Pasadena, California.
