Students of Christian Science protest very strongly...

Students of Christian Science protest very strongly against the report in to-night's Herald that Christian Scientists are, in future, to cooperate with doctors.

The movement referred to has nothing whatever to do with Christian Science, and, therefore, has no authority to issue any statements regarding this organization.

Some of its adherents were originally students of Mrs. Eddy's teachings, but for some years they have been a separate body with a teaching opposite and hostile to Christian Science, and because its members have apparently lost the power to heal by spiritual means they now announce that such healing should be abolished. Such a policy of defeat speaks for itself.

Why should Christian Science abandon its thoroughly tested method? Diseases of all kinds, including those termed organic and incurable, have been healed. God is omnipotent, and therefore the promise, "Ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free," is as true to-day as when the words were originally spoken by the Master.

To accomplish the instantaneous healings of Christ Jesus, the master Physician, whose work was based upon the supremacy of Spirit, is the aim of all true Christian Scientists, and it is only by radical reliance on God—not on material means—that this objective will be reached.

Some months ago a bill was before the House of Commons to bring all nursing homes under medical control. Before the act became law, an exemption clause was inserted, giving the Ministry of Health power to exempt Christian Science "nursing houses." Would the British Government have exempted these houses if Christian Science was not successfully accomplishing its purpose?
