Christian Science means so much to me that I am glad of an opportunity to tell of some of the healings that have come into my experience. I became interested in Christian Science about sixteen years ago, when but a child, and had the wonderful opportunity of attending the Christian Science Sunday School. I shall never cease to be grateful for the basic truths taught there. It was through my attending the Sunday school that the other members of the family were led to take up the study, and I am very grateful that we are one in thought and desire for the truth.

About four years ago I had a nervous breakdown and was compelled to stay at home for a short time. With this came a breaking out or poisoning on my face, which greatly alarmed the family. A practitioner was called, and help was gladly and lovingly given. The healing was not instantaneous, but was complete within two weeks so that I could again take up my duties at the office. We learn in Christian Science that when error seems to talk the loudest it is ripest for destruction, and so it proved to be in my experience. One night consciousness was lost, and when regained the first words I heard were those of the Lord's Prayer, for the family were at my bedside.

I am also grateful for the healing of colds, sore throat, headaches, bruises. I was beautifully helped when a change in business seemed desirable. I have experienced protection, and when placed on my own resources have had to prove that God is ever present.

I am grateful for membership in The Mother Church and a branch church, also for class instruction. I can never cease to be grateful to our Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, for giving us this wonderful truth, and to all who have so lovingly helped me in times of need.

I desire to confirm the above testimony of my daughter. I can truly say that a great change has come into my life since taking up the study of Christian Science. I had not been brought up to attend any church, and not until my daughters became interested in the Sunday school did I take it up for myself.

I have experienced a great many healings mentally and physically, and among these I experienced an instantaneous healing of smoking. I was healed one morning at church, having merely talked to a practitioner, but not having a treatment as I was not fully convinced that I wanted to give up this habit. However, this was not necessary as I went home from the Sunday church service healed.

I am grateful for membership in The Mother Church and a branch church, and for all the good that Christian Science is bringing to all the world.—Walter Schmidt.
