The testimonies in our periodicals have so often been helpful to me that I desire to give mine, hoping it will help others.

Before coming into Christian Science I wore glasses for weak eyes, one pupil being always in the corner. One day, while studying Mrs. Eddy's definition of "eyes" as given in the Glossary of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 586), I was healed. But I did not realize it until the next day, when I lost my glasses and found that not only could I see without them but my eyes were perfectly straight. Also, for years I had not been able to smell. After three operations the doctor said he had done all he could, and that I never would be able to smell. Two years later I began to study Christian Science, and was healed in one treatment.

For the past fourteen years Christian Science has met my every need when properly applied. While I am grateful for the physical healings, I am even more grateful for the spiritual understanding which I am gradually gaining through the study of the Bible, Mrs. Eddy's works, and our periodicals. The privilege of class instruction has also been an immeasurable help. I am grateful to God; to Christ Jesus, the Way-shower; and to Mrs. Eddy for giving us this wonderful truth.—

Before I knew anything of Christian Science I was suffering from catarrh and constant earache, having to spend many agonizing days in bed with this malady. I had been operated on for tonsillitis, and had been told by the doctors that I would be troubled with it all my life. I was also troubled with a condition of nearsightedness, as well as doublesightedness, said to be hereditary. I wore glasses and a patch over one eye; and with it all I was fearful of everything and everybody, and possessed a terrific temper.

Then, fourteen years ago, my parents became interested in Christian Science and I entered the Christian Science Sunday School. I was told there that God is not a superhuman being up in the clouds, but that He is infinite, ever present Love. I hungrily read and studied "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy in connection with the Bible, to know more about the Mind that is God. Gradually, one by one and quite unheeded, the ills of the flesh dropped out of my consciousness, giving place to the mighty truth as taught in Christian Science. Ere long I accidentally broke my spectacles, and then found that my eyes also were healed. And I gave thanks to Him whom I had learned to know. At the same time I was healed of poisoning, from which I would suffer from contact with poison oak every spring while in the hills. I am now able to be in and about this shrub without experiencing any effects from it whatever.

After these healings I began to realize that my great fear of everything and everybody was due to my own thoughts of them. With this came such peace and assurance of protection from God, my Father-Mother, that I give thanks daily and hourly to Him for revealing the truth that Jesus the Christ taught and demonstrated to the utmost so many centuries ago.

I am so busy now looking for good to do and loving my fellow-men that I have no time to get into a temper. I am so grateful to our Leader, Mrs. Eddy, for the establishing of The Mother Church, of which I am a member; also grateful for class instruction, which I recently had the privilege of taking.—

I wish to verify the statements given by my two daughters, and also desire to add my testimony and express my deep gratitude for all the help and comfort I have received through the study of Christian Science.

I was healed in one treatment of a severe case of pyorrhea. A sense of fear, a financial difficulty, and many other inharmonious conditions have been overcome. Also, through the study of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy in connection with the Bible, I have been healed of constipation from which I suffered for twenty years. A sentence in Science and Health, on page 283, was especially helpful: "Mind is the source of all movement, and there is no inertia to retard or check its perpetual and harmonious action."

Words are inadequate to express my gratitude to God, to Christ Jesus, our Way-shower, and to our revered Leader, Mrs. Eddy, who have made it possible for all mankind to know God aright; and I am also grateful for membership in The Mother Church and for the privilege of class instruction.
