I wish to express my gratitude for the many blessings...

I wish to express my gratitude for the many blessings and healings received in Christian Science, among them, my rapid recovery from a severe fall. I had got up to adjust a curtain, but lost my balance, and fell full length backwards. I felt as if my spine were broken. Error immediately said, This is the end of you; but the "angel of his presence" said, Now is the time to prove God's power; His is the kingdom, and the power; mine, to glory in this truth and power. I lost all sense of fear and arose unhurt. That night when about to retire, I became very ill: I had left some erroneous thought unrebuked. I called a dear Christian Science practitioner for help, which was lovingly given; and in three treatments I was completely healed.

For the many blessings that have come to me through the Christ, Truth, as taught in Christian Science, I am indeed very grateful.

I gratefully corroborate my mother's testimony, and wish to express my gratitude for the many blessings received through this truth. For several years I was an active member in a denominational church. A friend discussing Christian Science with me asked why I did not study Science. I replied I did not need it, as I was "perfectly healthy." Some months afterwards I commenced to read "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. I then realized I had need of the greatest of all healings—ignorance of God. I continued to study, saw healings; but wished to experience one. Suddenly one evening I became very ill. I tried to overcome the difficulty myself, but seemingly could not. I asked help of a Christian Science practitioner, which was given; and about midnight I commenced to improve. The next day I was able to be about my usual duties. I learned this form of error is called ptomaine poisoning. The thought came to me that I was another Thomas demanding proof.

For this healing and the countless blessings that have come to me through this truth, among them membership in The Mother Church, and the privilege of serving as a Reader in a branch church and as a teacher in the Sunday school, I am very grateful, and hope to prove my gratitude by manifesting the Christ-spirit in my everyday life.
