There does not seem to be any reason to suppose the President was thinking of Christian Science when, in a recent address, he referred to the business situation as a state of mind. Judging from a recent editorial discussing the address, however, and without further reference to the President's remarks, it will be of interest to you and your readers, no doubt, to learn that Christian Science has healed every disease known to mankind, and has proved just as effective in restoring health and prosperity to a sick business. The Christian Science periodicals have published many such testimonies, and others are often given at the Wednesday evening meetings, telling how all manner of discordant and impoverished business has felt the healing ministry of Christian Science.

This teaching shows that a sick business, as well as a sick body, is the result of wrong thinking and practice, and that as men turn from a belief in God as corporeal, and as sending both good and evil, to the understanding of God as Spirit, divine Principle, and man in His image and likeness, the channels are opened for the operation of spiritual law. Christian Science teaches, in other words, that as men become obedient to the Master's command, "Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness," human affairs become channels for the expression of harmony in fulfilment of the promise in the latter part of the same statement,—"and all these things shall be added unto you."
