The Record

In a letter appearing in a recent issue the writer recommends Christians who are attracted by Christian Science to read the late Dean —'s pamphlet. If he thinks that this will enlighten any one on the subject he is very much mistaken, for the pamphlet is merely an expression of violent opposition to what the dean imagined Christian Science to be. Does our critic suppose for a moment that any sane person would profess to be a Christian Scientist for five minutes if it were what the dean has described Christian Science to be? Christian Scientists are to be counted now by the million, and within their ranks are the cultured from out the civilized nations. Mr. — will find through time that it is wiser to let people read for themselves the subjects they wish, and judge for themselves as to their merits.
