I would like to express my gratitude to God for Christian Science and what it has done for me. I was laid up with rheumatism over two years ago. I was in bed five months, and had different doctors but got no lasting help. While still in a poor condition I had a very bad fall, and injured my head. I was brought home unconscious; doctors and a specialist were called, and they said the injury was very serious, and did not give much hope for my recovery. While my family was in a terrible state of fear, a good neighbor who had heard what the doctors had said, proposed Christian Science; so my wife asked for Science help, which was given immediately. In ten days I was up and walking around out of doors. Although my condition was to mortal sense very severe, I constantly improved under Christian Science treatment and lost every trace of rheumatism and other ailments.

For my physical healing and many other blessings I am deeply grateful to God. Christian Science has changed my thought and made me happier and better. I am more careful to do God's will and to learn what it is.

Mr. Klettenberg is of German birth and finds it hard to express himself in English. During ten days he had only a very few moments of consciousness, although the bodily functions were carried on. He took food and drink when presented to his lips. On awakening he gladly accepted the fact that Christian Science had healed him, and began to order his life m keeping with a new sense of things. All spirituous drinks were discarded, and in a few days his taste for tobacco left him. It is a great joy to note the blessings which the word of Truth, the message given us in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, is bringing to those who are willing to receive them.

Having long enjoyed the testimonies of healing in the Christian Science publications, and been helped in many ways, I am glad to give my own experience, hoping it may cheer and encourage others in the path that leads to God and that gives the peace that passeth understanding. In October, 1904, I decided to take up the study of Christian Science and find out for myself what it was what gave so many of my friends peace, courage, and the unexplainable something which I did not have; so I began seeking, and I found it.

I had been an active member of a church for over fifteen years, but although I worked hard and tried faithfully to understand the Bible and to enjoy the blessings therein promised us, I neither realized nor understood its truth clearly enough to demonstrate my problems. As soon as I took up the study of Christian Science I found I must demonstrate the healing Principle therein taught. One morning I awoke and found myself suffering severely from neuralgia of the face. My suffering was terrible, but I silently declared that God is All-in-all, and after several hours' work the demonstration was made, and I was very grateful that the little crumb of truth I had gained gave me sufficient strength to conquer the foe. I knew I had the right thing with which to go forth to battle, no matter in what form error attacked me or mine; that when I put on the whole armor of God and was obedient to Principle, I was absolutely safe.

For this and other demonstrations too numerous to mention I am truly thankful to God, and grateful to our dear Leader, Mrs. Eddy, as well as appreciative of all the loving, thoughtful help of friends. I deem it a privilege to be a member of the Christian Science church and to take part in its work of complete salvation,—the healing of sickness as well as sin.—Mrs. Nellie H.
