I feel divinely led to write my testimony for those who cannot hear me speak in our Wednesday night meetings. Some twelve years ago, in my home in Cincinnati, a doctor told my mother that I had an incurable disease of the lungs, and we believed it. From being a healthy young woman, I became a sickly, ailing one. A friend of mine, in reading of Christian Science, spoke to me about it, but like a great many more I would have none of it.

In 1908 I went to Worcester, Mass., and became so very ill that a doctor said my days were numbered, that I could not live longer than three days at the most. I, too, felt that I was dying, and I said to my Christian Science friend that something must be done for my cough. I could not eat, and was very low. She asked if she might send of a Christian Scientist, and I told her to do as she thought best. She then telephoned for a practitioner, who came late in the evening, and I heard her say something about Jesus and the power of divine Love. At midnight my friend became anxious and again called the practitioner, who answered, "Fear not, for God is her health and her life; and I have the assurance that God has healed her."

The next morning when I awoke I was very hungry. The practitioner telephoned that I could eat anything I wanted, and requested that I come to see her at her office. I did so, and in the one visit I was healed. Thanks be to God, and to dear Mrs. Eddy's wonderful teaching.

When the doctor came to see if I was still living, my friend told him I had been healed by Christian Science and had gone up to the practitioner's office. Afterward I was examined by a doctor in the Worcester hospital, and he remarked to the nurses, "This is a fine type of healthy young womanhood." I told them I had been wonderfully healed by Christian Science. I say again and again, "Thank God for the priceless gift of Christian Science."
