Far from being a substitute for Christ, Christian Science...

Far from being a substitute for Christ, Christian Science claims to be the very teaching of Christ, that Comforter or Spirit of truth which our Saviour promised should come later to guide us into all truth. The credentials it has to offer are those very signs of healing and of reformation which our Lord said should follow the true understanding of his teaching, and which few of the other churches are even attempting to produce. I was led to look into Christian Science by two remarkable cases of healing which took place in my own family; the healing was accomplished not by suggestion, but by that clear understanding of God's love and God's law which is presented in Mrs. Eddy's book, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures." During the many years which have passed since then I have found Christian Science not a stone, but indeed the bread of life, raising me from illness and helping me to overcome sin as no other teaching can do. It is indeed the religion of the future, because it is the simple practical truth of the primitive Christian times to which all must return.
