I wish to express my gratitude for what Christian Science...
I wish to express my gratitude for what Christian Science has done and is doing for me. I became interested in it about ten years ago, and it would take a long time to tell of all the benefits I have received. Colds, neuralgia, and other discords have been overcome and proved powerless, by declaring the truth as taught in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy.
I am very grateful for the physical benefits received, but more grateful for the spiritual uplifting,—for having been taught that God is Love. I am thankful for our Christian Science literature. The Sentinel is to me a white-winged messenger, bringing me peace and understanding. I am indeed grateful to God, and to our dear Leader, Mrs. Eddy, for Christian Science; and my desire is so to live as to be worthy to bear the name of Christian Scientist.
Mrs. Mary Osborn, Hamilton, Ill.
I write this testimony with the hope it will help some one who may be in bondage to fear as I was. I did not come to Christian Science for physical healing, but took up the study five years ago in the hope of finding God, of whom I was in great need. In all these years it has been an everpresent help. I had some difficult dental work done, when my knowledge of Christian Science enabled me to endure the ordeal without drugs. A little over a year ago I was taken with an almost overpowering sense of fear,—fear for my daughter's health, fear of poverty and almost everything else, and was on the verge of nervous collapse; but after two treatments in Christian Science I gladly testified at the Wednesday evening meeting, which I never had done before.
In about a week's treatment I was entirely healed, and realized that I had nothing to fear, that God was my source of supply. On my realization of this a pleasant position was opened to me immediately. Peace and contentment have come, and my daughter has regained her usual health and spirits. I thank God hourly for our dear, unselfish Leader, Mrs. Eddy.
