Several years ago I was a sufferer from extreme nervousness and depression. I had tried various material remedies, when Christian Science was suggested to me. I began treatment in this in rather an indifferent way; I hoped it would benefit me, but had little faith in it. I did not think of God as having anything to do with healing, and it was only after much doubt and many questions that I could accept some of the teachings of Christian Science. My healing was very slow, so that I often became discouraged and several times discontinued the treatment; but my family urged me to take it up again, and I did so, feeling that if anything could help me it was Christian Science. And it has helped me, mentally, physically, and spiritually. The nervousness and depression have been entirely overcome, and I am sincerely grateful for the help I have received. I feel that I owe a debt of gratitude to those who have so patiently helped me to make a beginning in the study of this great truth.
