I would like to make a grateful acknowledgment for a demonstration of Christian Science made in our home.

Two children were going to school in a near-by city (Niagara Falls), and upon the way were bitten by a mad dog. After the authorities took it in charge they decided it to be a very bad case. The little girl's father was a physician, and it was decided that he should take the children to New York for the Pasteur treatment, which he did, and returned in two weeks with the children desperately sick.

The boy died a horrible death, the circumstances of which are too tragical to relate. That very day the mother of the little girl received a letter from the physician in New York who administered the treatment, telling her it would be better for her to take her child to a Christian Scientist who might be able to do something to quiet the fear, and the thought that mind had much to do with it.

The little girl, a relative of ours, arrived at our home that night in an alarming condition. We telephoned to Jamestown for treatment, and in three weeks she was out of danger and recovered perfect health and strength, and her fear of dogs was also destroyed.

We had never seen any one in so emaciated a condition as this child was when she came to us. She would not drink water—did not want to see it even. She would lie half asleep for five hours at a time and then spring up and scream, "The dogs! the dogs!" A physician on our street expressed great interest in the case and showed surprise and pleasure at her recovery.

It would be impossible for us to fully express our gratitude to God, to Mrs. Eddy, and to the practitioner who so faithfully worked for this demonstration.
