The plan of salvation outlined by Christ Jesus is very simple and includes the recognition of God the Father, Christ the Son, and the Holy Ghost, or Comforter; all of these are accepted in their entirety by Christian Scientists, who recognize the fact that Christ is the Saviour of the world, and that only by following in his footsteps is there salvation from either sin, sickness, or death. This following of Jesus' teachings includes and emphasizes all that Jesus taught, not only with reference to sin, but the healing of the sick also.

Christian Scientists are merely continuing this work established by Jesus, recognizing the fact that the same power which has governed and controlled all things throughout all time is still the governing and controlling power, namely God.

The central thought of Christian Science is not to heal the sick, but it is to regenerate humanity in every consistently Christian manner, and the fruits of Christian Science bear witness to this fact.
