I look with so much anticipation and delight for our Journal and Sentinel, and enjoy them to such a degree, that I feel I ought to add a word of testimony as to what Christian Science has done for me.
The blessings are so manifold that have come through this glorious Truth to change my entire life spiritually, mentally, and physically, literally making a new heaven and a new earth in which old things are passed away, that words are inadequate to express my gratitude that my eyes were opened and my ears unstopped to see and hear.
After years of ill health and weakness I have found God to be my health and my strength. After reliance on material riches I have found God my abundant source of supply. Instead of believing that life is in the body and that death can destroy it, I have proven to my consciousness that life is indestructible in God, and sin, sickness, or death have not control of it.
After twenty-five years of conscientious living by an orthodox religious creed, I found it wanting, and was stranded without hope and without God in the world. I cried in my desolation to the pitiless unknown God whom I was ignorantly worshiping. The true Father-Mother God whom I now adore in Christian Science, has proven Himself to be the God of love and mercy to the widow and the fatherless; has bound up the broken-hearted and set the captives free; has opened our understanding and taught us the wisdom of knowing God and man's relation to Him.
For all these unspeakable gifts we are indebted to Christian Science, and the revered and loving Mother in Israel, who, through years of self-sacrifice and struggle, has given to this age the old-new message wherewith we may come into "the liberty of the sons of God."
