Whenever distressing news reaches us, we can think of it as an invitation—not to fear or to feel helpless, but to be part of the solution. For those who pray, it’s an opportunity to see the power of God, divine Love, in action.
We have heard from one author how he is praying about the Ebola outbreak in his country. Feeling his compassion for those in need invites and encourages us to pray as well—to know that the Christ, voicing the divine message of good to human consciousness, is active everywhere. It replaces fear with the calm assurance that Love’s healing power is available to everyone.
