No matter where you live, there’s historic significance in the 250th anniversary of the signing of the United States of America’s Declaration of Independence. And among all the freedoms we might deeply care about (social, political, religious, etc.), exercising our God-given freedom to be “honest seekers for Truth” (Mary Baker Eddy, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, p. xii) is the one that best enables us to make a difference.
The Bible encourages us to “stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage” (Galatians 5:1). The liberty that Christ brings transcends temporary circumstances. It’s a source of continual hope for the world. As you engage with this issue, your prayers will help humanity to stand guard over everyone’s right to experience their spiritual freedom.
