Why does the earth appear so flat,
if it is really round?
Look again
from high above
to find the truth of what is real,
and see the globe
as it is found,
and from this standpoint be unbound.

Why does our world appear so bad,
if God is good and always here?
Look again
from heavenly heights,
and seeing all with Christ’s clear sight,
perceive the image
of God, good,
which has forever perfect stood,
and evil’s seeming disappears.

For so the truth of all things acts:
dispelling myths, revealing facts.
And once the truth has been made plain,
how can we e’er be fooled again?
