Sleepiness problem healed

Several years ago when I came back from an overseas business trip, I was constantly falling asleep. I would fall asleep when I tried to read the weekly Christian Science Bible Lesson each morning—even before I reached the first sentence! I was falling asleep during church, and the worst situation was when I found myself falling asleep while driving.

This condition persisted for about ten days. At first I thought that I simply had not overcome jet-lag and that I needed more sleep, so I tried going to bed early every evening. Despite such efforts, I was still abnormally sleepy.

As I reached out to God for an answer, I looked up a sentence from Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy that states: “Christian Scientists, be a law to yourselves that mental malpractice cannot harm you either when asleep or when awake” (p. 442).
