Sight issue healed

A few years ago, I woke up one morning and out of nowhere my vision was severely compromised. I couldn’t focus at all. I wanted to read a book that has opened up the Bible to me called Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy. It’s filled with ideas that spiritually heal—and I needed healing—but I couldn’t see clearly enough to read.

Then I remembered that you can actually listen to Science and Health online on christianscience.com (see christianscience.com/readscienceandhealth). I found it and clicked. At first I was disappointed. The reader was reading from “Fruitage,” the chapter with testimonies of healing that resulted from reading Science and Health. I thought I needed some good spiritual ideas, not to hear about someone else’s experience. But then I heard these words “diseased eyes cured.” And I paid attention.

On page 627 the writer explains that she was suffering from terrible eye trouble. She had an operation but was told that she might become blind anyway. She says: “I was sent to Indiana, to a sister who had been healed of lung trouble by Christian Science. The first day I was there she read to me from the Bible and from ‘Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures’ by Mrs. Eddy, and I was healed. I knew that God was no respecter of persons, and when I saw what had been done for my sister, who was changed from being a mere frame to a strong, robust, healthy, rosy-cheeked woman, the cough all gone, I said, ‘God has as much for me, if I will accept it.’ I was healed instantaneously by Christian Science ….”
