Recurring eyelid infection stopped

Christian Science came into my life when I was desperate to know about our Father-Mother God and my relationship to God. I have experienced countless healings following this wonderful path of Truth. I want to express particular gratitude for the healing of a painful boil on one of my eyelids. I’d had the condition a few months earlier, and it had vanished after Christian Science treatment. But as soon as I saw it was back, I feared a return of the pain and the ugly appearance that had come with it the first time.

I again requested metaphysical treatment from a Christian Science practitioner. He asked me to read the definition of eyes in the Glossary of Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy: “Spiritual discernment,—not material but mental” (p. 586).

The practitioner encouraged me to correct my vision about people and situations in my office, church, and other places. I understood that I needed to see things as God sees them—spiritually. Since God created all good and sees only perfection, I, too, endeavored to see perfection and prayed to know that imperfection is no part of anyone. I started by affirming the Godlike qualities of each of us, and soon my viewpoint improved.
