Constantly learning

New, even surprising insights—I get them each time I dig deeply into Mary Baker Eddy’s book Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures. It was when I was first starting school that I was introduced to this life-changing book. There were a good number of children’s books in my house, and I loved reading. And, happily, I would read those familiar books over and over.

Then, when I was given my own copy of Science and Health, I noticed that when I would read it, I would feel different from how I felt when reading my other books. There on a page, an idea would be presented with such tender care, and as it would start to become clear, I would feel the love of God wash over me. It was a most wonderful feeling.

You know, today, Science and Health remains a new book for me because that very same thing continues to happen. Mary Baker Eddy, although I never met her, is someone I consider a lifelong friend, and those ideas that were revealed to her by God, those ideas in Science and Health, are constantly opening up fresh, life-transforming views of truth that heal and change me to the core. Let me tell you about a recent instance, when an idea from the book was illumined.
