Building respect

The Christian Science Monitor played a pivotal role in deepening my relationship with a relative who had a negative view of Christian Science.

One time this family member visited us for a month. She is a deeply religious person and I’ve always admired her. I longed to talk with her about God. I had been praying to know that we are both children of the one God, both loved by God, and both expressions of the same Mind.

This individual did have a deep respect for The Christian Science Monitor. It was often quoted on the radio in her home country, as its reporting was considered fair and helpful. So while this relative was staying with us, she saw issues of The Christian Science Monitor arrive daily, along with the monthly World Monitor magazine, which was published at that time.
