Finances and my 'marching orders'

Some years ago, fatigued with suffering for many years from chronic financial challenges, I called a Christian Science practitioner for help. I told the practitioner that although I had just been hired after being unemployed for three months, I had decided that in two years I would move my family to another area of the country where the cost of living was lower. Listening for a few minutes to my reasoning, this insightful man suddenly interrupted me, “God gives you your marching orders!”

I remember thinking: “OK, that was all well and good, but I didn’t need to stay any longer than two years to get my financial situation in order.”

I’ll get back to that prospective move soon. But first, a little background might help.
