Lost and found

During a visit to the bank to withdraw some money, I realized I’d lost my savings
account withdrawal identity card.

The cashier told me I would not be allowed to withdraw money from my savings account again unless I produced the following documents: an affidavit stating that I lost my card, and a police report stating that I am a good citizen who had never committed a crime.

At home, I searched for my identity card everywhere I could think of. I ransacked my drawers where I used to keep it, but couldn’t find it. I then went to the market where I had made some purchases after my last withdrawal. I inquired from the traders where I bought some commodities, but they denied seeing it. It was then that I went to report the loss to the management of the bank where I keep the account.
