Keep the change

When something happens that we feel is wrong or that fills us with regret it’s easy to get drawn into endless “what ifs.” Pretty soon, instead of praying, we’re tethered to a vicious circle that hinders spiritual progress.

A wiser answer is to refrain from analyzing the “what-ifs”—and to pray to God so that we can see His control of the situation. Prayer that acknowledges the undisrupted, eternal harmony God provides for our lives lifts us out of regret and reveals a solution to whatever seems wrong.

I know this because I have had to prove it.
